Calvin has been involved in real estate for almost his entire professional career, both buying and selling real estate. Early on, he realized that there were a lot of realtors who could show properties, write offers, etc. however, they lacked an overall knowledge of the most significant financial transaction that most people will ever make in their lives. He founded Voortman Realty to establish a company that could meet all our client’s needs and expectations both for the immediate and long term when it comes to purchasing real estate. In his spare time, Calvin enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and hiking on the fabulous trails in the greater Hamilton area.

PARTNER & SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Sarah Vanderveen is a partner and sales representative at Voortman Realty where her real estate expertise is complemented by a strong background in administration.  With a warm personality and an organized approach, Sarah navigates the complexities of the real estate industry, offering unparalleled service to her clients.  Known for her efficiency and knowledge, Sarah is passionate about helping and guiding her clients to achieve their real estate goals; one transaction at a time.  Whether it’s finding the perfect home or negotiating the best deal, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Born and raised in wonderful Bruce County, Sarah moved to the Hamilton area in 2011 and currently resides in Haldimand County with her husband where they are restoring an 1850’s farmhouse.  When not doing real estate, you will find Sarah at home gardening or tending to her chickens.

SOFIA VOORTMAN

Sales Representative

Sofia Voortman is an enthusiastic and dynamic Sales Representative at Voortman Realty. Born and raised in Guatemala and fully bilingual in Spanish and English. Before immigrating to Canada, she worked as a dentist in Guatemala which provided her with a diverse background and strong work ethic. Having first-hand experience understanding how everyone comes from different walks of life has allowed her to personalize the help she provides to others with their real estate aspirations.

Sofia embodies a passion for real estate and through her dedication and persistence, she will ensure that her client’s needs and expectations are met. Sofia also assists Calvin in the office in regards to meeting our clients in preparation for listing their homes and with the administration details. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sofia loves meeting new people and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Lindsay McFarland

Sales Representative

Lindsay McFarland is a Sales Representative at Voortman Realty with over 20 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service. She has a proven track record of success in sales and driving customer traffic. Passionate about helping people, her strong communication, organization, and sales skills allow her to provide top-notch customer service for her clients. Lindsay lives in Haldimand County with her husband, two teenage children and her 3-year-old Labrador retriever, Cooper.

Monique Oosterhoff

OFFICE MANAGER

Monique has over 20 years of experience working in Administration and takes pride in the organization required to run a successful office properly. Voortman Realty believes in assisting each of our clients from start to finish with professionalism and dedication, beginning with a phone call and right up until the final walk-through is complete, prior to the closing of the transaction. She enjoys working with our clients and guiding them in various directions, whether setting
up a search in the boundaries located on their personal MLS searches to finding the home best suited for them. While away from the office, Monique enjoys going on holidays with her husband and two kids, spending time with friends and playing volleyball.
